has anyone seen this film? i saw it years ago, and jumped at the chance to see it again the other day. i still absolutely love it - the horrendous school life, the weird surreal bits, the mixture of black and white and colour film, the story itself and the wonderful ending - matched my own schoolday fantasies of arming a few fellow pissed off classmates and taking the whole fucking lot of em down! i forgot how queer it was. i used to have a huge article/essay on the film, which i've long since lost, but if anyone knows what i'm talking about, pitch in, please. and remember -

RUN! RUN IN THE CORRIDOR!

gozer - it appears to have been re-released to some extent. i saw it at the prince charles cinema, but check time out, it may well be on elsewhere.

if there's been a fairly recent thread on the film, perhaps this one should be closed. however, i am looking at the film from a different angle to the previous thread - as someone with a huge chip on my shoulder classwise, i always thought i'd be unsympathetic to toffs having a hard time at school. but misery is misery whoever is on the recieving end, and rebellion is possible and necessary at all levels of society to make things better.

I think my 'If..' senses have been dulled by overexposure, but as my favourite film of all time, it's only right & proper that I must make *some* comment in a new thread about it..

Threads can't be closed now - they can only be moved, or deleted. So we could let this one die, and revive the other one, or...?
