tomorrow at exactly 11:26 am across the US on nickelodeon will be the first showing of ROBO-RALPH, a 90 second interstitial i created. it's about an 11 year old cyborg kid whose head turns into weird things as he fights evil.

if you get the channel, check it out -- it's for 10 year olds but it's pretty nuts and it was REALLY fun to create.

i'll probably sleep through it myself...

That's okay, I don't read comics but I want to....snicker....okay, sorry, couldn't do that with a straight face.

I would imagine that not seeing what's on TV is probably a plus in trying to come up with something to go on TV. No influence by what's "popular".

plaid: this is the first thing i've done that's aired. as ancient members of 'lith may recall, i spent years developing a cartoon at mtv animation that was drawn by cameron stewart. we made a pilot for testing (not broadcast) and then the show got dropped when execs rebooted the studio. that show is currently looking for a new home, but i'm on to new projects (including comics... more news later). a few more "episodes" of robo-ralph will hit later this year.

glad you liked it. as far as the glam -- yeah, my core concept is making a "mad scientist" who's a totally happening 13 year old girl. I want junior high girls across the country building cyborgs! we'll do more with her glam/science bit in later episodes.

i'm still waiting for it to come on in my time zone in LA... i'm going over to friend's house to see it on a wide screen plasma tv.
