Does anybody here know how to retrieve deleted files?

I kind of accidentally deleted some kind of important files. You know Internet Explorer, Visual Basic, Microsoft Word, Netscape Navigator. Every document in my documents folder.

Before anybody recommends just going to the recycle bin and clicking on restore, I suppose I should mention I deleted them in dos. Damn my reliance on outdated operating systems.

Is there any way I can retrieve said files, or am I in a word screwed?

Here you can find Undelete.
I guess you could find an English version, if it's not.

Try a Google search with undelete + Windows95/98/2000 I dunno what's yours.

One thing tho' - if you're going to try and undelete stuff, leave your computer switched off until you're ready to try - the more stuff that's been done since the file was deleted, the less likely you are to be able to recover it.

It's probably easier to reinstall the programs - might be worth it for the documents though.
