Do any other Londoners remember this? It was classy, and the BBC cancelled it, the bastards.

What? None of you liked it?

What is this world of liars?

It's also Easter, and many posters mightn't be at their keyboards.

Me, I've never seen it. Got any links to share?

I saw a bit of it. I wouldn't call it classy. But most people I know liked it, so what do I know...

It was bloody brilliant. One of the best dramas ever. It had everything. Foul-mouthed Scottish chicks, homosexual delivery guys, drugs, sex and funny one-liners.

Excellent stuff. 2 series, both out in box sets.
Buy it, watch it and love it.

I seem to remember that it was "cancelled" because all the actors from the first two series thought they'd outgrown it and wanted to go off and do bigger and better things.

Anyone seen "Teachers"? Yecch.

The end of the second series left it open for a new house-load of characters, but it never happened. I suppose they just made "Attachments" instead.

I don't really live in London. Is life in a shared house in the big smoke as cool as it was portrayed in this prog? Or is it as boring as being a student? Does 'working' make a big diff?

Would be cool if they ran another series with all new characters. The acting was the finest thing about it, then the directing, followed closely by the writing.

The director also directed vampire thriller Ultraviolet (which I picked up all six episodes of on DVD for £12.50!)

I like the bit when they brought out the vegtables shaped liked genitals and when doc used to sing his songs, esther rantzon used to be a bit annoying though and...what?

horus - never saw this life, but my experience of life in a shared house is usually an endless round of chasing people to pay bills, doing other people's washing up, queuing for hours to use the phone, hideous overcrowding because no one can afford to live properly in london, oh and knowing that whoever you sleep with is going to be one of your flatmate's ex's somewhere along the line, so add screaming drama to the list as well....

as for 'teachers', well all the real teachers i know are too busy trying to scratch around for resources to make the sprogs' lives better to recognise much from the series.

Ultraviolet was great; well, I thought it was and I'm the minority sadly.

Don't get me started on Teachers, though; there's a difference between slight-fantasy and the insulting levels of incompetence the series shows. It's about as subtle as a Dayglo Pink Wooden Horse. Tonight's episode was incredibly bad. I really, really dislike the program... got sucked into it and barely laughed. Was it meant to be funny? Was it meant to be a school? Do they ever do any marking, or teach any real lessons?

Mind. Boggles.

It was absolutely the most brilliant TV show ever. It was original, and clever and didn't make a point with a sledgehammer and even that bastard Miles was endearing. It was also smart enough to get out while the going was good, before it turned into crap.
