Hey y'all.

We're having a rather big party in London on 13th April. For the full details go here:

To begin with, we could do with all your good vibes aimed in our direction on the night, so that lots of people come, we raise lots of money, there's a great atmosphere, and that all practical considerations go to plan (security, getting the edeposit back, etc).

However, above and beyond this, it'd be cool to arrange some kind of group working specifically tailored for the event. Both myself and Will Wright are involved, but I'd also welcome the help, support and ideas of all the rest of you lovely people.

Any suggestions?

Dancing, chanting, sitting around in a big circle going OMMMM, communal finger-painting, drumming, singing, dressing up in big papier-mache animal heads and chasing each other, making a big yellow jelly in the shape of a pound coin, a Piniata full of chocolate money... I dunno. The usual.

Sounds cool to me! Don't have any initial suggestions, but I'm usually pretty good at helping to clarify and modify ideas once they around pulled out of the darkness. :-)

Expressionless got teh idea from the 'What cool things have you done with magick?' thread. I mentioned that I used to set up a cooper pyramid above the turntables, used a charged mandala/sigel backdrop and burn copal.
It would be useful if we were to assemble some 'props' for the focus of the evening, esoteric decoration.
Expressionless can you give us a brief breakdown of the intent and focus of the evening, then we could come up with various totems, sigels etc specifically?

Interested parties? It means that even those of us in the rest of the world can help input design and manufacture ideas.

The idea is to raise money for my friend Nathalie to do voluntary work in Honduras, via the charities I-to-I and Save the Children, as well as have a brilliant evening with a lot of friends/new people/good tunes. I guess I'd like it to be a big melting pot: a chance to meet new people, get some people interested in Barbelith, expand everyone's sphere of contacts. If it's a success we could even do more of them...

My main goal is to send Nathalie off with enough wedge to do what she needs to do. She's a brave girl: apparently the relief work in Honduras is one of the toughest, most labour intensive projects in the world. She's going alone, too! It would be excellent if we could grab whoever wants to contribute to pray with her and bless her before she departs (of course, I've not asked her permission yet, but she's a spiritual person and I can't imagine she'd object). Maybe something to do later in the evening...

Errrr ... expressionless darlin, I haven't received anything in my email box. Have you sent something to Sleaze thinking that I would get it too? As Sleaze and I are disconnected now, could you send me a flier and any other information about this.

As to the ritual, have there been any more thoughts or have I missed the boat and this has been discussed off board?

which one do you fancy?, i'ld love to help, even if it just means lugging around boxes and lighting candels, even though my knowledge is limited to more or less just sigils and servitors. who knows how to do this stuff, which of these is practical?

tommorow...april the 13th...my birthday! (born on friday, april the 13th 17 years & 364 days ago) oh yeah my parents were married on halloween too...dont think i can make it from the north of scotland to london by tommorow, oh well still got a family indian meal to enjoy )

Missed you on the night, Bill (although a couple of people spotted you lurking outside)...

There's a thread in the Conversation dealing with how the evening went. Many thanks to all of you who supported from both in the venue and far away, particularly the wonderful folks at the M.O.B. for the sigil. I'd love to know more abut it and its programming...

Yeah, two of us got there, but had to go back to Kings Cross for cash and things went awry. (Though not in a bad way.)

Um, more to the point, is there anything of a magickal nature to be done about the problem with the bar?

I'm not sure, mate. Personally, I'd leave off the bar and work on other ways in which we can bring the money in. Nathalie only needs about £500 more, which ain't a lot.
