Already talked about this a bit, but my suggestions are:
Princess Louise (not too sure about the food here, mind)
Marquess of Anglesey (likely to be crowded on a Saturday as it is in Covt Garden, but it certainly does reasonable food)
Ha Ha's, Great Titchfield Street - there's a branch of this in Muswell Hill, so I know the food is OK - and it's big (but looks a bit like a chain pub - which it is, but a chain of two doesn't count so much...)
Or... there's Jerusalem (Rathbone Place) which is a decent underground bar, serves nice food, and they often have some sort of deal on.
But most of these options are on the middling side as far as price goes.
Then there's the Spitz/Brick Lane axis, which I know much less about... |
