I am. Walking around Chicago and imagining what it would be like if the Sears Tower and the John Hancock weren't here. But goddamit I'm going up to the top of the 'Cock tonight for drinks!

My office has a floor-to-ceiling view from the 26th floor looking across Toronto's downtown core. I have to avoid that hallway because I keep catching myself wondering what it would look like without the CN Tower.

...went to the park today to change some mental scenery and looked up just to realize I was surrounded by a few buildings at least 40 floors in height. And to think...if those were the twin towers..hell..that's much bigger. Imagined an explosion of a few and how horrible it would be to be there...decided to lie on my stomach instead...

Yep. And airplanes. We were doing a production of Hamlet in a park last night and all of a sudden a large jet came in really low and slow over the stage (we are in the flight path to an airport). It seemed to hang over us it was there so long. Since this was still during the airline moratorium, it was freaky. I have been flying since I was 6 months old, and for the first time the sound of a jet actually scared me.
