Yup! Those were teratomas- a sort of weird tumour thing. Unlike your average growth they contain DNA, and can atually have teeth, hair and other features, although they aren't embryos. Fetus in fetu is a different condition, even more rare than the kind of teratoma implied in the story.
(I did quite a bit of research for this, y'see. Although I'm seriously regretting the Google Image Search I did on teratomas... generally around 3am... yeucch.) |
