Listening to Staten Island emergency services on Tuesday (GMT), one of the emergency workers in the area reported a bomb in the ESB and that radios were being switched off. About two minutes later, a controller confirmed the presence of a device in the ESB. From then on, there were at least two reports of 'suspicious, Arab-looking' people carrying knapsacks or duffel bags. Presumably widening the net as a precaution, but interesting that it wasn't reported until Thursday (GMT). |
