Yeah, I miss that feature as well. It was responsible for all the non-spam email that I had in my mailbox.

Hmm... Not yet.... How many people would be interested in this option? No promises - depends on how much time it would take Cal to code and whether or not he'd be interested in doing it.... Also, could you think of any better ways of keeping yourself informed?

I honestly can't think of better ways to stay informed other than:

Having a place on Barbelith where you can see which of your threads were updated, and which threads that are not-yours but which you marked as "interesting" were also updated.

I can live without it - it's easy enough to keep track of stuff. It was just a nice added feature.

Personally, would prefer if it didn't happen. Have enough email to keep track of without that thrown into the mix as well. Like the idea of having a page here on Barbelith detailing which of your threads (whether created by yourself or this you marked interesing) have been updated - maybe when you log in, this is the first page you see.

Well, atually the email feature was always optional in the previous board. You didn't have to click on the email notification box.
