Listened to 'Endtroducing' and was distinctly unmoved, prefered his collaboration with Lavelle on the UNKLE album. Strange.

When did you listen to it, Loz? Recently? I think Endtroducing has suffered the same fate as, say, Psychocandy, in that's its impact and influence were such that it now sounds old-hat.

Endtroducing has a personal import to me; it's the album that really got me into masses of hiphop, and first influenced my desire to make music.

But the UNKLE album KEEPS growing on me, I've listened to it so much recently, and it's simply superb.

I've only heard Monosyllabik. I loved that. And tempting as it is, I'm not audiogalaxying it; I'll wait and buy it like any honest man.

Can't fucking wait.

Sean, Psychocandy is a record by the Jesus & Mary Chain.

I've heard a few tracks from the LP, but I'm not in a rush to get the whole thing right away given what I have heard. It's a lot more downbeat than what I've been into the past couple weeks.

I do love "Fixed Income" a great deal. That song is really quite exceptional.

It's coming out 20.5.02. I'm gonna resist downloading anything, as I've been looking forward to this for ages.

I've gotta agree w/ Mr. Dupre. I just can't listen to Endtroducing w/out yawning. Trip-hop (for want of a better term) was, at least for me, killed by overexposure. I know it's a good album, but it's going to take me yonky's years before I can get into it again. And that UNKLE business, that really bothered me.... Indie-hop? No thanks.

Yeah, I would have been late last year. My feelings about it weren't so much that it was 'old hat', those of you that know me know that my tastes are rather pedestrian, (Underworld/UNKLE/Radiohead/BoardsofCanada/ Godspeed..!) and it was literally that I listened to it and thought 'ho-hum', it wasn't so much that I thought 'X is doing this and doing it so much better' just that the record didn't draw me in.
