1 Giant Leap

Not sure if this has been discussed before round these parts, but I recently got a copy of this and it's fantastic.
The phrase "World Music" doesn't often light my candle, but when you've got something as diverse as this it can't fail to intrigue at least.
It's a project by Jamie Catto from Faithless and a guy called Duncan Bridgeman who, apparently was Take That's producer (!)
But some of the collaborations are sublime - Baba Maal, Eddi Reader, Robbie Williams (yup, it works) and even Kurt Vonnegut.
Lush, ambient, ethnic techno beats. And eminently listenable - not just as background music but actually to absorb.
Anyone else heard this?

The mighty team of Jamie Catto and Duncan Bridgeman composed all the incidental/theme music for Channel Health. Check it out, it's amazing.

Only not.

I take it all that means you don't like 1 Giant Leap, then?

Haven't heard much of it yet, Sax, but the Robbie Williams & Faithless thing sounded... well, interesting. It's good, then?

I don't know. I'm not a big fan of "lush" techno (if by "lush" you mean highly polished production, etc.), Faithless or Robbie... so, yeah, I probably don't like it. But, to be honest, I'm more shocked that the composers/arrangers of the mighty 'Bush Babies' score are who you say they are and that they make music that people might actually want to listen to.

I'm just downloading the album now - I think its going to be a great summer album, sounds like it so far.

Also just downloaded the new Oasis album which is better than I expected (but I'm sure nobody will agree with me! )
