Videodrome saw them in the states a while ago, and told me that it was a really disappointing live act. Was enough to stop me going - I'll wait for the next fantomas tour, frankly...

Er. What RoR said.

Didn't see this one in time. But, yeah. Weren't so impressed, will probably pass in the future. But I'm not really impressed with the record, either, despite the talent involved. The whole thing just feels a bit flat, and the gig reflected that. Didn't get the feeling that there was a lot of involvement on the part of the band.

Curious to know if anyone's had a different experience.

Ah well, thanks lads, I could afford a ticket (31 fucking euro!) so I went to the pub instead.
Sounds like I didn't miss much.

i saw them in November and i thought they were terrific.

Mike Patton walked onto the stage sporting a Mariah Carey t-shirt, and saluted the crowd with a hearty "seig heil!!" Then he put on a gas-mask doohickey with a microphone hooked into it (this was around the time of the anthrax scares, so it was especially comical in a morbid sort of way) as they launched into "God Hates a Coward," which has since become my favorite Tomahawk song.

in short, i'm afraid you guys missed out.
