I prolly won't be going, but for those in London with a yen: quote:THE WHITE STRIPES are to play a tiny LONDON show next week, NME.COM can reveal.

The Detroit duo will perform a warm-up for their forthcoming European tour with a date at the 93ft East club on London's Brick Lane this coming Tuesday (February 26).

Tickets for the show go on sale at 2pm today (February 23) from the Rough Trade shops in Talbot Road and Covent Garden, priced £5. Tickets are limited to two per applicant, and are on sale to personal callers only. Support will come from The Buff Medways. From here.

After the London show, The White Stripes head off to Holland, France and Germany for dates, before returning to the US to continue their tour.

Very unlikely, I suspect - 93 Feet East doesn't have a box office per se as far as I can tell; the NME piece seems to imply that those two stores are the *only* places you can get tickets; and I also suspect that they'll have sold out by now, sadly.

Neneh Cherry is DJing there on Friday though. Come to that instead.

This gig is so damn secret that no less than 6 people/information sources told me about it yesterday, each adding that it was 'sold out ages ago'.

Seriously though, I do wish I was going, cos The White Stripes are a fantastic live band, but seeing them in an arena (only possibility from hereon in) would kind of suck.
