Has anyone, perchance, heard this new album by Pete Shelley and Howard Devoto? I can't make my mind up whether it's going to be genius or an utter travesty.

No, but from all reports the Buzzcocks have still "got it" (unlike most every other punkrock band of their vintage), so it could well be good. let us know if it is or not if you do get it.

Wait, Howard Devoto is back in the Buzzcocks? Man, I'm outta the loop and shit. Devoto's stuff was always my favorite, so I don't see how it could be too bad.

Or, actually, is it? I saw an artica;l alluding to it being some new kind of project, but, um... I lazy and so didn't read it and now I've lost it somewhere.

No, it's not the Buzzcocks as such, the project is called ShelleyDevoto. But hopefully it might as well be...

Oh yeah - I saw a review of that somewhere - it was like a split 7" single with 'Shelley' on one side and 'Devoto' on the other .. I foolishly assumed it was two bands with those names and failed to pick up on the Buzzcocks connection. doh!
