Just picked up "Dawn of Victory" by Rhapsody.
Oh.
My.
God.
Crazed Italian guys make symphonic speed metal that's heavily influenced by Dungeons & Dragons. Example song titles: "Triumph for My Magic Steel", "Dargor, Shadowlord of the Black Mountain", and "Holy Thunderforce". NOT as geeky as they appear. These guys -- dare I say it?! -- rock. I love this album. I strongly recommend it to anybody who stayed at home on Friday nights in high school so they could work on their Forgotten Realms campaign or anyone who has seen "Lord of the Rings" more than five times. |
