- the band, of course, are playing a big festival thingy at camber sands in april. now i remember camber sands as a horrible holiday camp and the thought of returning there - even to see this lot - is too much. but god speed you black emperor and whatnot are playing too so some of you might be interested. anyone goes, i'd be interested to know how it went.

yeah! i just checked their dates and i am really annoyed they're just playing camber sands. i really can't afford to pay £100 for a festival. they're all far too expensive.
then i remembered --- i saw trail of dead in london in 2000. they played a couple of dates at the garage before or after their gig at camber sands.
i'm sure the breeders will do the same thing.

I saw them in Glasgow's Barrowlands in 1994, and I would urge you to steal, beg or borrow to go to the Camber Sands thing. (It's now quite often used for 'rave' weekends etc, not supposed to be too bad). The Breeders are... very good.

I saw the Pixies once. The Ritz in NYC, Trompe le Monde tour. Never seen the Breeders. But Kim Deal is definitely a goddess.

hmm, perhaps my hangover made me incapable of finding the thread. thanks, tom. but it looks like the astoria gig is the one my friend has tix for - and 1 june is when the meet with wembley is. so i may either stagger along to the gig drunk or even turn the ticket down.
