i feel the need to come out as an ex-fanzine writer. any others out there? i did various zines, starting in '82/'83 as a pissed off schoolgirl, firstly sticking anti racist rants on school noticeboards, then doing an anarcho/music/veggie zine, which my dad photocopied at work. went on to do a more glossy anarcho zine, then got fed up with losing loads of cash and concentrated on my (abysmal) bass guitar playing.
i don't have any incriminating evidence left, but it helped me get from there to here if you know what i mean. and i got to interview crass, the mob, blood and roses, the newtown neurotics, flux of pink indians.... and we didn't have computers in those days, so you lot would probably laugh your arses off at my hours spent doing titles in letraset and bashing out stuff on a typewriter that should've been in a museum even then.
am i the only one....?? |
