does anyone else want to spit when they hear this stuff on the radio?

personally, if I hear elton john ask me if I feel the love one more time, I just may very well have a frustration seizure

I guess I really dont have a point, other than - does anyone buy this stuff? why do they play it, whos requesting it?

I'll let you all in on a secret - I'm currently in negotations with Disney to sing the lead role of one of their upcoming animated features - I'm not at liberty to tell you much more than that, but I assure you, that once this project hits the malls of America, you'll all be saying "Lion King what? Elton John who? Billy Corgan is the ULTIMATE!"

It's going to be an entire new generation of rabid Billy fans...it will be beautiful.

I'm more of an old skool Disney fan, you know "Bear necessities", "I wanna be like you", "I've got no strings". The modern stuff just can't compare.

Oh, just you wait, then Duncan... this upcoming Disney project is pure old school Disney classic updated for the 21st century and beyond. It will make Fantasia and Snow White look feeble and pathetic by comparison... It will redefine animated cinema, as well as musicals - and music in general. This could very well be the apex of western culture... and you have me, Tim Rice, and Michael Eisner to thank for it!

I do have to admit I liked the jungle book songs, as well as some others

I've always been a fan of the villan songs, though "I've got no strings" is simply the shit.

Remember the octopus lady in The Little Mermaid? "Those poor unfortunate souls..."

Cool as fuck!

I've always been partial to that song from Beauty and the Beast where Gaston sings about how damn great he is. Egotism on parade is a beautiful thing.

And there was that song in...no, wait, sorry, that's it.

Don't forget about "Under the Sea" and "Kiss the Girl" in Little Mermaid. Loved them songs, and "Cruella Deville" from 101 Dalmations....

There's a lot of very catchy songs in the world of Disney, although they are increasingly becoming purile crap!

Oh, and of course that Peter Andre cover of Kiss the Girl......grrrrrrrrrrr!

Used to have the "it's a small world after all" disney songs album as a kid. It included the song "you're never to old to be young", a ditty they cut from the Original Snow White soundtrack.

They're nice in a 'slightly pants' nostalgia way. These days we just get shit like "help me I'm a fish" (though I don't think that was disney)

A friend of mine gave me a disc he burned that's a Japanese translation of all the songs from Winnie The Pooh. I put it on every now and then just to see my son's face when he tries to sing along. And at parties when everyone's really drunk.

Apart from that, Disney songs are almost as bad as their films.

Zoom.
