Don't know if any of you guys can help me out with this but a friend of mine is having a bit of trouble with a music problem on his computer at the moment. He uses a program called LOGIC AUDIO and has over the last year been putting an albums worth of material together. Unfortunately the other day he turned his PC off for the night only to find the next day that the files had completely dissappeared from the folder that contained them. He's assured me that he hasn't trashed them by accident. I suggested he use a program like Norton Utilities to try and unerase the files or at least find out whats happened to them. He then used a file finding program for the PC called SNOOP.DIR which told him that the folder was still on his PC and the files were still within it. However he still cant see them in Windows or through Logic Audio. Unfortunately I have a MAC and know very little about PC's so I cant help him. Do any of you guys have any suggestions?
Send him to the computer audio forums at dancetech.com . More likely to help him out, they're pretty good over there on this kind of thing. Sounds like the PC rather than Logic, though.
And if he hasn't been keeping backups, tell him he's a fool.
