did anyone else notice his smirky face through those songs? what is he up to? and flux, i agree that the korean musicians would be ace at pavement reunion show...but no mark ibold? what would be the point?
why didn't he do pavement covers in london or reading? why now? why here?
i am sooooooooo confused bout this.

My understanding is that Malkmus and Timony were offered money to come play in South Korea, and they just went for it. Malkmus had never ever played in Korea before, so he treated all the Pave fans there to actual Pavement songs, but with a local Pavement cover band. He also played a number of Jicks songs solo with a DAT machine backing him up.

Oh, I love Ibold too. But it is funnier if it's mostly Korean boys backing up SM...

pavement is not pavement sans mark.
pavement never played korea? that is fucked up. it makes sense as to why he did those songs, then, i guess, in a way.
but that's what i love about sm. he's mysterious and that's alluring.
