first and foremost, let me make it clear that i've never been a fan of G 'n' R, even back when they were the biggest band around.
obviously, during his 10 year absence from anything involving other people and music, Axl Rose is now completely irrelevant.
the constant delays of the newest "Guns N Roses" album, Chinese Democracy, underscores not only his lack of a place in today's rock scene (which, i might add, blows) as well as his own insecurities, but also his apparent lack of interest in making music. he's just doing it for the money here.
but if in fact Chinese Democracy turns out to be any good at all, it'll be because Buckethead's on it. man, that guy is my hero
He makes Slash look like the middle-aged guitarist for the Deep Purple cover band that plays at Jimmy's Crab Shack on the beach twice a month. oh wait, that's probably what he's doing right now, anyway. |
