Where to buy vinyl in London?

Apart from the couple of stores on Berwick St, I know fuck-all about where to buy vinyl in this seething metropolis. Thing is, I need to know, as a friend of mine has just arrived - he's a DJ of sorts - and wants to know where to pick some up. Tomorrow.

I know there's vinyl freaks on the board. Come ooooout. Tell me.

Also; where's good for decks? He's got two boxes of records with him, but the decks would've blown out his carry-on luggage allowances. So...

Theres a nice place in Greenwich, Record and Cd exchange, just up from the cutty sark and next door to Burger King. Has some vinyl and mucho cheap CD's, they seem to know their stuff there.
Deepest Soho behind Raymonds Review bar also has mucho vinyl shops.

Ok, my favourite place to while away the hours is Vinyl Addiction in Camden (In side road of Offspring)
The Record and Tape Exchange is also a gem, over the road.

The above are all very well, but a bit lame for dance music.

Potted summary:

For electronica, weird stuff and undie hip hop try Small Fish on old street.

For US or UK garage on the more soulful tip go to Release the Groove on Denman street.

For straight up 2-step, jungle and breaks it has to be Blackmarket on D'Arblay street.

If it's trance then he can fuck right off, I'm not going to be privy to any place selling more of the shit.

For vintage, rarities, new funk and crazy reissues the best place is Jazzman Gerald's stall in Camden lock (he also does mail order through his website).

HMV on oxford street actually has an amazingly broad selection of vinyl and is well worth checking for compilations and stuff that might be out of stock elsewhere.

I've never been myself, but for hip-hop, a DJ friend speaks highly of Mr Bongo's.

Good enough for The Plump DJ's and myself.

I find Charity shops can sometimes hide away the odd gem as well. Just the other day I found Northside's "Take a trip..." for 50p in mint condition. I was well chuffed.

I also bought Rolf Harris and Gilbert and Sullivan..... but you didn't want to know that....

For the former, you'll burn eternally - but for the latter, you rawk.
