How do you think the Barbelith demographic would appeal to advertisers? Educated, technology literate, young and fashion conscious honeypot or informed anti-capitalist trap?
The flashing x-box advert has appeared? How would we feel about other adverts, other sponsorship? Did any do this for clubs or societies at university? We don't have to get full on corporate...
What about approaching some sort of entertainment venue to sponsor the gathering, with the kickback that an event or so a month would take place there. Somebody here must have inside knowledge on a suitable venue.
What about approaching some blog writers to offer a subtle advert in the conversation. Twenty quid a month, from five of you to target a high traffic, web-savvy public. That might tempt a few of the hithungry.
Would sponsorship be a good idea or a bad one. How big are we anyway? Forget the suits registered how many people actually stick around...less than a hundred? |
