Anyone know this song?

I heard this song on the radio yesterday. It jumped from industrial to melodic prog-rock in a heartbeat. The only lyrics that stood out to me were "self-righteous suicide" and "even angels can die".

Anyone?

Zoom.

p.s. If you'd like me to be more vague, I can erase this entire post and then the thread will just start off with a blank space.

And fucking good it is too.. but it just does not compute..

It fits squarely into the universally lame 'nu-metal' genre by vestige of a)being metal that incorporates 'rap', b)being played by big, mean men with weird beards and no shirts, c)mixing pointlessly aggressive thrashy bits with OTT prog-melody bits and d)being a !top 20 hit!

and yet..

IT ABSOLUTELY RULES!

someone please explain..

Well, it's not quite as whiny and self-pitying as songs by Linkin Park or Papa Roach so while it doesn't sound like a temper tantrum it does still have the indulgent angst of most of those songs. Just enough to be familiar, enough difference to separate them from the pack.

Instant top 20 hit.

By an "interesting" coincidence, I was actually just wondering the title of that very same song myself. I've just been to Scotlands alleged leading rock club and listened to said song, but couldn't remember it's name, and went home to search for it on the net, and:yay this thread helps me find it...
also worth mentioning:at said club they played the foo fighters and andrew WK back to back, possibly in a post-ironic reference to the 'Dave-Grohl-Is-AWK" rumour referred to in the conspiracy thread....
So cheers, to all concerned!

Is that the Cathouse by any chance? How is the old place? I used to do PR there, best job I ever had...

Sorry Buk, tis the mission, in Edinburgh, I was referring to. Went to the cathouse a wee while back though,(june 16th) after seeing the briefly reformed Wildhearts, and I'm pleased to report it was in fine condition, and I had a truly hearty time there... wouldn't mind going back actually, there are a few good gigs in glasgow soonish...

Wow, I'm actually surprised not more people on Barbelith are familiar with System of a Down. The song in question is from their recently released second album. I like the first one more, but they are both worth checking out.
