You mean to get software to play MP3s? I only have them on my Mac at work, as it's the only thing connected to a decent net link, so any of the sites listed here will be OK for the Mac OS.
The best player for MP3s that I've found on the Mac that's free is iTunes. Download it from Apple's homepage. It's rock, and because Apple put it out, it shouldn't fuck up like some others can. It also plays CDs, with CDDB connectivity.
In terms of peer-to-peer software, go to download.com and do a search for MacSatellite (which works with Audiogalaxy servers) or Limewire, which is a Gnutella client. Both work, and beat the shit out of Napster.
But hell. Epitonic is fucking awesome, if you've got a decent connection - I'm getting all sorts of official stuff there, legally. It's great. |
