Radiohead are fools!

Okay, someone explain to me why these two songs were cut from Amnesiac... Cuttooth and Fog...while "Hunting Bears" and "Pulk/Pull Revolving Doors" were somehow worthy?

Ugh. I'd say that "Cuttooth" is superior to every song on Amnesiac, save for "You and Whose Army?" and maybe "Dollars and Cents".

You be the judge.

Oh, and here's the other one: Worrywart. This one sounds nice too.

They are from the forthcoming "Knives Out" singles, if you didn't know.

And this is a taste of things to come: The Reckoner. Big scary guitars. No kidding. Vaguely Black Sabbath-esque.

They're certainly good songs, 'Fog' in particular... but I'm not sure Radiohead are "fools" for not putting them on the album - that's if they were even recorded before the album was released. Radiohead are just one of those bands whose b-sides are often as good as their album tracks, instead of just being filler. There's a sense in which they can't win: when they released How Am I Driving?, a collection of b-sides, some people accused them of shamelessly fleecing the kiddies.

I think you have to accept in some ways that they decided that these songs didn't fit on the album and that's their choice... and now, what with the lovely pilfernet, you can get these songs for free anyway, so what is there to complain about?

Mind you, having said that I was a bit gutted that 'True Love Waits' didn't make it onto any of their albums...

Well, yeah, I agree that they had a specific feel and flow in mind for Amnesiac, and they are obviously obliged to doing things however they want. All of those songs indeed were recording at the same time as Amnesiac/Kid A. Thing is, what frustrates me about the "Cuttooth" thing is, that song was cut out of Amnesiac's tracklisting at the eleventh hour. I can't understand why. Personally, I think it would have fit that awkward space between "Pyramid Song" and "You and Whose Army?" far better than "Pulk/Pull Revolving Doors" does. That's just me.

Oh..."True Love Awaits" has been played live a few times the past few weeks, so hope still is alive that it will pop up someday. Same goes for "Big Ideas" and "Follow Me Around".

It's really too bad that "Big Boots (aka Manowar)" has been left for dead, though.
That's one of my favorites...

Off subject a tad, but I did just see them in Chicago. "True Love Waits" was played and it was great. Their Kid A/Amnesiac songs sounded the most exciting, however. I liked them but would've appreciated it more three or four years ago.
