So as I don't wanna derail the LA thread one too much, I'm gonna start a new one.

Is it any good?
Where is it?
All things like that, really.

And is anyone going from here?

I might go if a few more amazing bands are added to the lineup. They'll still be announcing them for a few months to come.

more amazing bands?

!!Cheap Trick!! are playing, what more do you want?

And what's this about Shellac playing three times - the greedy buggers!
Sonic youth are only playing once in LA and they're arrogant as hell and have about 15 albums worth of back catalogue..

sonic youth are arrogant as fuck, but i would be if i was them.
and when i saw them in philly last year, kim was not too arrogant to jump around like a cheerleader to 'kool thing'.
yeah.
oh yeah, i heard from conrad (from and you will know us by the trail of dead) that sonic youth sucked at the last all tomorrows parties. he told me that kim gordon was hitting her guitar with a block of wood or something. their shows are really hit and miss, i guess.
because when i saw them they played a lot of old songs and generally had a laugh, but my chum nick went to see them and said they were hammering nails into a piano!

That would be one of their 'Goodbye 20th Century' shows then.
'Bizarre a-musical tributes to hopelessly obscure avant garde composers - NO THANKS!'

Apparently at the ATP show to which you refer they returned to their 'Sonic Death' roots by playing a load of aimless noise and telling the audience to piss off.

Which is cool.
