Just a query, based on current listening: what bands are out there, still plying the fucked-up cabaret trade? I can think of The Tiger Lillies offhand - sheer brilliance - but who else is doing this kind of thing today? Any clues?

Can you describe, Jack? I've never heard him.

I guess Tom Waits is still pushing the cabaret thing, occasionally - more Black Rider-style stuff than anything else - but I'm still keen to hear if anyone out there is still pursuing this kind of music, outside Ute Lemper (who I just can't dig) or (occasionally) Robyn Archer?
