I've tried trial an error, but I just can't convey the pitch. More specifically, the mega-fast riff from the System of A Down song mentioned in another thread in here.

generally, when using tab notation to describe weirdi noises, you just stick a star at the relevant point, referring to a description of how said nose is generated, eg *stick drumstick behind strings at fret 7 and whack drumstick with another drumstick at rhythm indicated...
