There's a DCD box set out, I saw it at my mate's house the other night. It's got 3 compilation CDs and a DVD with a live gig and 5 videos on it. It's lovely.
The upshot of which is, I've suddenly rediscovered them, not having listened to them for, oooh, ages. And they're fucking brilliant. Anyone else?

Funny you mention them – I just made a DCD mixtape for a friend of mine this weekend.

I had the pleasure of meeting Brendan Perry around 1994-95 in NYC. A friend of mine was interviewing him for her Goth 'zine and brought me along. He & I had a great conversation about "world music" and the difference between appreciation of music from other cultures and appropriation of said music. (Of course none of that showed up in the zine )

DCD were always great live, as well.

I am a HUGE fan, but I have all the albums already and the other tracks, the only thing in the box set I would love is the DVD.

And right now I cant spend $65 on one DVD for myself.

Someday though

Okay, I was FUCKING stupid. I just got paid today, and the first thing I did (after going to the early-opening pub) was go and buy it. The best part of FIFTY FUCKING QUID!!! I'll regret this very, very soon, I know it, but right now I'm filled with the thrill of acquisition... (although having read the accompanying booklet- filled though it is with appropriately lovely photography- I'm kind of torn between "they're FAR too ordinary" and "they're FAR too up their own arses"... I think I'll just stick to the music/videos...).
Me very happy though. (I also replaced my missing copy of "It'll End In Tears" by This Mortal Coil".)
