SPOILER
Christopher Walken following up his early 90's performances in films such as True Romance and Pulp Fiction with a foray into a witty supernatural horror. Walken as the Archangel Gabriel gets some great lines but is out shone by Lucifer himself. Nice little appearence by Eric Stoltz. Angel myth is handled with a freshness and overall the film stands well, until the Poltergeist style humanist friendly ending.
Check out the minions with Lucifer, lovely peice of make up and design, my fave bit.
Avoid all of the sequels, even though Walken appears in them, they stink to high heaven.
