the guy who played Blake was a sexy mofo. If you could remove your mind from the wobbly sets it was quite engaging. There were times I really loved it. There was a slim, evil guy in the gang who kept going after Blake's job. He became the leader. It's probably a good thing that you can't get the series on DVD else I would have bought them all.

A great show!

What did you make of it?

*finale spoiler*

I originally heard that Blake betrayed Avon, but it looks as though Avon jumped the gun. Do you think Avon laughed at the inevitably of his demise, or because he recognised that the people around him were ones he could do business with?

sorry - was watching without being able to hear properly - meaning clear when you can hear dialogue.

Apparently the star never watched a single episode of blake's 7. Funny old world.

I've seen three episodes of this so far, and it's weirdly addictive, in a dodgy-effects, OOOH-who's-that-actor kind of way. Also very nice to watch a series which has some sort of dramatic unity (of time, place and action, I mean) and isn't constantly either
a)jumping around between characters, Heroes/Lost style or b)interrupted every 15 minutes with ads, and therefore studded with fakey cliffhangers to keep the viewer coming back.

So what I'm saying is, who can lend me all the episodes on DVD?

And when did Tarrant turn up? How many seasons were there and what's the make-up of the crew in each? I think I've got one video from Season 1, one from 2 and one from 3, but would like to be sure before I watch them out of sequence.

There were 4 seasons (52 episode).

The cast changed a bit from season to season with the biggest change occuring at the beginning of season 3 when we lose Blake. Tarrent is there to replace him as the heroic figure but is a bit shit at it.

More like a stroppy adolescent if you ask me. He looks about 14.

Don't watch any more of it if yoy're averse to addiction, Whisk...

Blake is soooo bizarrely attractive in a way I can't put my finger on. I love the "obviously sleeping together" undercurrent between Jenna and himself. One of my old friend's mum used to be friends with paul darrow, so I had an insight into Avon-mania firsthand.

Sorry to be the bearer etc. but Peter 'Zen/Orac/Slave' Tuddenham's died aged 88. This sucks.

(Del) Tarrant turned up at the start of season 3, apparently a Federation badass but secretly (and fortunately for Avon and co.) an agent of the resistance and future ally.

SPOILERS (ALTHOUGH I'VE TRIED NOT TO MAKE IT TOO OBVIOUS)

There were four seasons (just like Vivaldi, b-boom):
Season 1: Blake, Jenna, Vila, Gan, Avon, Cally, Zen the computer, Orac the other (supposedly smarter) computer.
Season 2: Same, except one of them 'met with an accident'.
Season 3: Avon, Vila, Cally, Zen, Dayna, Tarrant, Orac.
Season 4: Avon, Vila, Dayna, Tarrant, Orac, Soolin, Slave (another computer - I guess computers were a novelty on telly back then).

END SPOILERS

I've just finished watching the whole series, can you tell?
