If the Inuit can have umpteen words for snow depending upon its quality, why don't we have graduated adjectives describing being pissed?

The list is a jumble, has lots of words and phrases which have a broad application to the use of other intoxicants. Of those which are left, most imply being made ill by alcohol. Common enough outcome but not the only one.

I think we need more precision in our words for "drunk", like a sliding scale through:

entirely sober
sociable
merry
pissed
and then, past that point, depending upon so many variables, it can go one of three ways:
fu' or glorious- nice drunk
hammered - nasty drunk
paralytic - hopeless drunk

I can think of many subsets.

I'm more worried about the I ad part, thought for second I might be turning into a cockney, but then I remembered how drunk I was last night, even talked to some London police, well when I say talked I mean moaned about what I saw the police doing back home...
