Ah thats crap, I watched it this morning (UK) with a hangover and it really made me feel better - it was the one with Brian and Stewey when they mist their flight and had to get back home...

Whats happening in America ! its ruining the only decent shows we have over here !

Family Guy's getting canceled? What next, the Simpsons, Futurama? Why are all the good shows getting canned? If anything should be canceled it should be King of the Hill or all those damn game shows. King of the Hill is crap and the only things the game shows are good for are to show how low the average intelligence of America is.

Fox has never really liked Family Guy, but kept it on for a second year because of all the good buzz it got. Then they brought it back again because they had more episodes to burn off. I have NO clue why they brought it back this year...

And at Sandy Eggo, everyone who works on Futurama said Fox doesn't get their show either, but keeps it on becuase they want Matt G. happy, and it makes money through foreign slaes and merchandise.

Jesus. Is it a conspiracy to kill off all of my favorite animated shows this year or what? I'll miss Family Guy. Unlike The Simpsons, it's actually got one funny joke out of ten.

Trijhaos, I disagree. King of the Hill is back to it's old form. I loved the episode where paranoid Dale got kicked out of his gun club. Maybe only those of us who have the misfortune to live in the South can identify with it.

Fox has so royally pissed me off this season that I've just about given up on them. I think Futurama will be next on the chopping block since they want it dead. Why else would it be constantly squashed by the stupid NFL (American Football, a sport almost as lame and boring as Baseball). Why can't they kill That 80's Show instead? Since Fox owner Rupert Murdoch is a right wing loonie (see Fox "News Channel"), I wouldn't feel too bad about not watching.

Goddamit, this sucks. I love that show. I can't imagine too many people watch it, though, given it's erratic schedule over the years. Too bad. It's funnier than the Simpsons, which has really slacked off these past few seasons. I never thought I'd hear myself say (well, type) this, but I'm ready for it to die.

I live in the south, maybe I'm just not deep enough in the south to really appreciate King of the Hill. Its probably because I live so close to a military base and there's too much cultural diversity and not enough true southern types living around here. I'll admit I have enjoyed some of the episodes, but listening to Hank talk about "propane and propane accessories" at least once an episode grates on my nerves and the mention of Peggy's overly large man-like feet has been done to death. Maybe I'll give it another chance seeing as how UPN shows it right after the Simpsons.

I don't get King of the Hill either. It's not that it's bad, it just doesn't make me laugh in any way. I watched a few episodes here and there, wondering what the fuss was...and each time I watch it and wonder where the jokes are.

I understand beign understated and all, but this show baffles me.

On the other hand, two Family Guy episodes tonight, both had me laughing so hard I know I missed some jokes.

THE SIMPSONS IS PROBABLY THE WORLDS BEST TV SHOW. THAT SOW STARTED THE REIGN OF POLITICALLY INCORRECT SHOWS IT STILL HAS HILARIOUS EPISODES. FAMILY GUY IS A GREAT SHOW BUT IT WILL NEVER AMOUNT TO WHAT IT WAS WHEN IT IS BROUGHT BACK I GIVE IT A SEASON AND IT WILL BE GONE FOR GOOD! BUT WE WILL STILL HAVE THE RERUNS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PS THE SIMPSONS WILL BE ON FOREVER IT HAS SO MUCH BACKING AND SUPPORT THAT IT STILL OUTRANKS ANY OTHER TV SERIES BY MILES.

Mist their flight? Bloody Hell...

Just read this, not sure if it has been posted elsewhere -

’Family Guy’ Rises from the Dead (Monday, March 29 02:36 PM)

LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - Fueled by DVD sales and strong ratings for its reruns, the animated series "Family Guy" is going back into production -- more than two years after the last original episode aired. FOX, which had the series originally, has an option to air the episodes first; the Cartoon Network, the show’s current home, will also air them. The new episodes -- at least 22 will be produced -- will be ready by spring 2005.

"I’m just incredibly excited that we’re back in business on ’Family Guy,’" creator Seth MacFarlane says in a statement. "Now all those crazy kids who’ve been hounding me to bring the show back can stop bothering me and move onto more serious matters -- like saving ’Coupling.’"

The resurrection of "Family Guy," which was never a hit on FOX and last aired an original episode in February 2002, owes a lot to fan reaction in the show’s afterlife. The DVD compilation of seasons 1 and 2 of the show was the top-selling TV title on DVD last year; that and the more recent third-season DVD set have sold more than 2 million copies combined. It has also become a hit in Cartoon Network’s "Adult Swim" late-night lineup, often beating CBS’ "Late Show" and NBC’s "Tonight Show" among young males.

"This is incredibly exciting for everyone at Fox," says Gary Newman, president of 20th Century Fox TV, which produces the series. "The overwhelming response to ’Family Guy’ this past year is a real tribute to Seth’s vision and talent. ... We’re thrilled for Seth, we’re thrilled for his fans, and to be honest we’re thrilled for our teenage kids who threatened to emancipate themselves if we didn’t figure out a way to bring the show back."

"Family Guy" bounced around the FOX schedule numerous times in its three-year run. In its final season, airing opposite "Friends" and "Survivor" on Thursday nights, it averaged 4.7 million viewers. (The current occupant of that spot for FOX, "Tru Calling," brings in 4.4 million viewers.)
