Indy 4 to go ahead

The Return Of Rothkoid

From this Foxnews piece quote:At the end of a wild night of partying and celebrating for the 2002 Golden Globes, I had the rare opportunity of talking with Steven Spielberg, Kate Capshaw and Harrison Ford. They were sitting together in a small booth in the basement of Trader Vic's at the Beverly Hilton Hotel at the combined party thrown by DreamWorks, USA Films and Universal Pictures.

This threesome is pretty much it in Hollywood. After all, between Spielberg and Ford they've made some of the highest grossing and best loved films of all time. Capshaw, who's Mrs. Spielberg, co-starred with Ford in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.

So what's the story, I wanted to know — with this trio finally in one place, and relaxed enough to talk, will we ever see Indiana Jones 4?

"Yes," they all said, and confirmed that once Spielberg films Catch Me If You Can with Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hanks, IJ4 will be his priority.

"We have a title, but we're not ready to announce it," Spielberg said. "I will give you one clue, though. Kate is in it." I asked if he meant that Capshaw's character would appear via flashbacks, and he replied: "No. She'll be in the present."

Ford, who received the Lifetime Achievement Award, said he's ready to take on this last chapter. "It was always about getting the right script, and now we have it," he said.
At this point, I'm not sure whether to be really distressed (hello, Six Days, Seven Nights) or to dance on my desk. Thoughts?

And apparently Harrison is banging Minnie Driver, that sly old dog. Maybe she'll reprise Karen Allen's part? Or maybe she'll play Short Round?

'Course, since I figured the fourth film would suck anyway, I always kinda wanted to see Jackie Chan play Short Round as an adult.

I just hope its got Nazis in it. They kinda make Indy films.
Or will Indie be sent into Afghanistan to discover truths about Islam, that will change history.

if you've seen Jackie Chans directorial debut.. its a real indy type adventure.. nazi gold in a Sarhara or some such rubbish.

so Jackie being in an Indy movie would probably be a dream come true for the little fella.

You're thinking of Armour Of God II, actually his twelfth film. Great movie, too - I'd lay odds on it being better than Indy 4.

I love the fact that the IMDB says that the Chan film is rated quote:Rated PG-13 for martial arts action, some shootings, and sensuality.I have images of Jackie sitting on a couch with a piece of satin in his hand, having just offed a load of bad guys, and spending fifteen minutes of screen-time stroking the fabric and murmuring how nice it is.
