Yay to all of you that bitched, complained and expressed dismay at the presence of *N-Sync in the new Star Wars movie.

Strong rumours are going around that this scene has been removed from the film.

Of course it was just a man doing what he could to keep his daughter happy. I expect she'll probably cry when he tells her.

Star Wars: Episode II: E! Online reports that N'Sync may not be out of SW2 after all. Band member Joey Fatone said the other day that "I'm going to make it officially known that they dropped it because people made a big deal about it. We're not going to be in it, and I'm not going to comment on it any more". However an official Lucasfilm rep says "The 'N Sync guys were shot as extras, and whether they're in or out won't be determined until the final edit". She also confirms that fan criticism/petitions will have zero effect on the film's making: "George makes all his decisions himself, and the final edit of the film is what he determines it will be".
