If someone can acctually name this, I'll be blown away.
I caught it on HBO, late 97/early 98. Probably an HBO original.
Basically, Idaho (or a state in that area) is threatening to split from the US over some kind of imagrant problem. President has to come off as a closed minded republican with a slight white power kind of twist, for votes. Even though he's having an affair with a hispanic journalist.
Dennis Leary is in it, playing a journalist on the front lines of Idaho (or whatever state) as goverment forces prepare to invade. The are a bunch of other people in it. But, I can't remember any of them now.
So, does this ring a bell with anyone? Love to see if this film is half as good now as it was when I first saw it.
Oh, wait a minute, Donald Sutherland is in it I think. The charecter is kind of a PR guy for the president. |
