Played!

Love the mag, read it in Smiths but for once in the past 9 months or so couldn't be bothered... anyhow, will check out again.

It's easily the best film mag out there.

Easily the best film mag bullshit. Hotdog is a load of cheesy 'cult' film wank by people who go on about the fucking Italian Job and shit like that all the time like its really 'cool' cos its got Michael Caine in it and was made 'ages' ago.

Neon was the best film mag until it vanished, whereupon 'Sight and Sound' took its place. Maybe only arthouse student pretenzoids read it but at least it isnt 'cool.'

Will check out The Secret review anyhow. Impressive!

I agree that Neon was the best. Hotdog tend to pick out a 'hot' film every month, and salivate all over it, but they've picked some really average films to wank over...Gangster no 1, the Parole Officer.

And this months feature on Samuel Jackson made me sick.

Neon was my favourite too - and the only one that didn't annoy me to read. Sight and Sound is in excess of my needs, Empire is fluff, Total Film is ... strange somehow... Neon was perfect and now it is no more. Bastards

I miss Neon too.
Empire seems too... light in comparison and Total Film reminds me of The Sun for some reason.

Being a pretentious fuck, I like Sight & Sound.

Or at least I did, when I got to read it for free every month while doing my A levels..

Neon was brought to you by the same people who made Select - they were two of my favourite magazines, and now they are both dead....

I've gone off film magazines now.

K+1, who is your distributor etc? Where is the film oot?

I'm an Entertainment Weeklywoman, myself.

All the showbiz tidbits I "need" to know, and intelligiently written articles on movies and pop culture phenomena. I'm a big fan of the "IN"/"Five Minutes Ago" "Out" nature of "The Shaw Report."

I wish we had one. But we don't. It's only a small review in the Underground film section:

"THE SCRET
Director: Andrew Calo
People taking drugs to make films to take drugs to. Surrealism in the Valleys courtesy of director, writer, actor and arch self-promoter Calo. The tale of two Tarantino-obsessed filmmakers who discover the meaning of time, it's either genius or total rubbish. A case of big ideas on a transparently low budget, it overstays its welcome by a good half hour."

And theres a picture of me and the two other main actors in the film, sitting in a car smoking some grass, with the catchphrase "The Secret (which is not to mix drugs and Tarantino on a small budget)"
