Years old this post maybe but I feel I had to reply to it. I love this movie. Its so english and so surreal. Black and white / Colour options.
Love that court scene and Kim Hunter's tear at the end. Weird naked kid playing with his dog by the sea was probably slightly odd then let alone now. David Niven and a host of ace british character actors.

It's wonderful. I didn't quite see it all... but what I did is wonderful. That heaven sequence... is just great. Wonderful filmaking from, to be honest,a long gone age.
