Sounds shite. Wasn't that done to another film fairly recently?

Barbarella. No wait, I can't live without Theater of Blood...And then I (like Kooky) need my Blackadder fix("I have a cunning plan...")...And then I watch Gothic a lot too...

One tape won't do...

Nope, but I've just remembered it. I think that the DVD release of Memento was due to have a re-cut version on it, showing the events in chronological order. Dunno if it actually happened.

Goodfellas. Definitely.

Then again, I could watch Monty Python's first series again and again. Or the Life of Brian.

'They are all Slutz'

Conan is Widescreen is a force to be reckoned with........

BARAKA.

Without a doubt. Baraka.

Watch it over & over. Definately my desert island video. Beautiful, thought provoking, visually sumptuous, outstanding music, and best of all, you can mong out to it!

Oh, come now. Koyaanisqatsi was like a thumbnail sketch for what was to become Baraka.
Surely.

The Return Of Rothkoid

Have to disagree. In terms of effect, I found Koyaanisqatsi much more effective; certainly more open-ended and meditative. Baraka seemed a bit much like an extended advert for The Body Shop, I reckon. Pales in comparison.

If you live in the UK Memento isnt coming out on sell thru dvd until 2002. Apparently more extras are being added. So a possible yes is the answer to your question.

Spinal Tap; for laughs (Stonehenge was in danger of being crushed by a dwarf)

Barton Fink; Not their best, but perfect for late night viewing. It has a creepy undertow I like.

Dupre this was on this weekend and I actually cried in parts, unexpectedly. Wow what a movie.

Harvey

Say Anything

King Of The Ring '98

The Usual Suspects

The Princess Bride

Evil Dead 2

Miller's Crossing

Grosse Point Blank

The Fisher King

What About Bob?

Any one of the above would work for me...

TV series? Either Buffy/Angel (I have all of the video box sets) or the double episode of Due South where Fraser meets the bank robber he fell in love with after she gets out of jail (Victoria's Secret). Which is the best 90 minutes of television EVER.

Grosse Point Blank!!!!I loved that movie. I could gladly go with a tape of Seinfeld Season 4 or Raiders of the Lost Ark...Maybe Clockwork Orange too...Or Polyester...Fuck there is a lot of tapes.

For a time, the only tape in the machine was Dazed And Confused. Now, Withnail and I.

Try the D & C drinking game - a down it in one every time Mitch touches his nose or his hair.

at the moment, it's charlie's angels. because the soundtrack is great, and it doesn't require a whole lot of concentration, so i stick it in the videoplayer and cook my dinner or something. but i'm watching it a lot at the moment.

Knight's Move

So what happened to "one tape"?

TV wise I'd go with Duckman episodes - probably Noir Gang (I think that's the title the b/w film noir parody/pisstake/homage) otherwise...

Aliens? Enter the Dragon? Withnail? The Killer?

Probably (and here I join the "sorry but..." club) Casablanca. I am sorry but I defy anyone to keep from getting misty-eyed as Rick persuades Elsa to get on that plane or when Sam refuses to go to the other bar in order to stay with Rick. And to see a great re-using of the final line see Black Cat White Cat, fantastic Eastern European knockabout farce.

By the way Ierne it's nice to know someone else has come across Theatre of Blood. Such a superb plundering of "The Bard", particularly Robert Morley's Titus Andronicus. (How the Hell did they decide which plays to choose? What were they thinking?)

Dear God In Heaven. You must be a 'bear of very little brain

Undertaker. Mankind. Hell In A Cell. Mick being thrown off the top of the cell through the Spanish announcers' table. And ten minutes later, being (badly, thank God) chokeslammed through the top of the cage. And then there's the thumbtacks... And JR's two best ever 'mock-hysterical' shrieks - "With God as my witness, he's been broken in half!" and "Will somebody stop the damn match!"

Beautiful...

Bear

Oh yeah that thought it must have been that but couldn't remember exactly..JR is my idol, but he did kiss Vinces ass, poor man..
