(a click and a paragraph later...)

SFX just did a small feature on Watchmen. The writer seemed to be under the impression that all of the major characters used to be in a superhero team called 'The Watchmen'. Obviously hadn't read the book since he was a teenager...

Boy, am I glad I edited the post to change "Morre" to "Moore".

I bet the publicity team of the “From Hell” movie wish they could kidnap Moore, scrub him down, shave him, and sedate him until the movie is safely released on home DVD. Either that or bump him off for the extra mystery points.

Well, at least that article was worthwhile for the Moore quip at the end, when asked if he was going to the film premiere...

".. my daughters, they’ve got some sort of plan that involves kidnapping Johnny Depp and giving him roofies. So I’d probably better be there."

Er, Jack, it doesn't say Alan Moore is the illustrator - it says he *scripted* The Watchmen [sic] and Miracleman and then turned his attention to Jack The Ripper. Very shortly after Eddie Campbell is mentioned and credited - twice, in fact - as the illustrator.

Calm, soothing thoughts...

At least Alan Moore is granted a full interview in a major mainstream news publication...

Actually, Cameron, believe it or not, it did say "illustrator." Looks like someone got there after the fact.

And by the way, this interview was originally in a British sci-fi magazine I read last month. Word for word. I mentioned the Blade Runner and Johnny Depp kidnapping thing in the previous From Hell thread.
