The above named film is on in my home town this Thursday. Anyone seen it? Any reasons to go, or not?

Its a one night special, Naom Chomsky event, for those of you who might be interested.

it's a little too "cult of chomsky"-ish, but good all the same. however, if you know much already about corporate control of media, it might not be all that interesting. it is kinda a good thing to show to people who are unaware of the issue or just haven't given it much thought, though.

go. if there is a cult of chomsky, i'm a fully paid-up member, but still - though the film may be a little dry it will be time well spent.

the biggest impression it left me with was sheer frustration that the american media wouldn't give him the time of day. one good thing about the advent of the internet is that it gives people like chomsky a means of addressing a readership, in a user-friendly way, in between books. it reconnects him - allows him to be even more topical - 'cause he can be a rapid response intellectual.

and if you're in leicester, you should maybe see if jonny smokes, rizla want to go. a mini-barbemeet on the back row...

Johnny, Rizla, anyone else interested:- I will be in the bar at the Phoenix before the film, probably wearing or carrying leathers and certainly wearing glasses. I'm quite large and quite old. Will buy you a drink if you make it.

Well I'll be there.

I'll wear me officially-sanctioned blank badge, so just yell when you see it.
