I,m really confused, i'v owned this film on DVD for about two mounth now and its been out for about three years so why is it suddenly coming to cinemas.

It is shit hot though.
Much better than Crouching tiger hidden dark, superiour fights, plot and comicle moments,
Also any hong kong legend buffs out there, it tells the story of a young 'Wong Fei Hung' .
Played by Jakie Chan in drunken Master and Jet Lei in the Once apon a time in China film series.
SEE IT

Because the market will now support it.

Glad to hear it's good.

if you like that, watch 'The Bride With White Hair.' More martial arts fantasy-craziness.

I saw it last night...and there is just something about seeing one of these style of movies in a theater over seeing them on TV. It was subtitled (which was impressive to me) and I had no idea it was a Wong Fei Hung tie-in. The good thing was that the audience was really into the movie. When they started releasing the Jackie Chan movies in the US a few years ago, you had people who woudl shout at the screen or complain about the dubbing.

Maybe if it does well, we'll more of the Hong Kong movies in a decent release, rather than dumped on video with shitty dubbing...even on DVD you can't seem to get them with subtitles.

Brilliant film. Yu Rong Guang and Donnie Yen were both fantastic. Not to mention Jean Wang Ching Ying who was throwing down better than any American actress.

Everyone should go see this. It really is fabulous to see on the big screen.

"Your Kung-Fu is unique."

"I know."

Wow. Right up there with Once Upon A Time In China, Duel To The Death, Drunken Master II and the uncut Stormriders. Everyone walked out of the theatre stunned, including the hecklers. The story structure and characterization were so solid, too. Thank fuck for Kung-Fu flicks.

I really liked Iron Monkey. Hokey in just the right spots.

Some really great cross and twist stances in there too.

Footwork AND Hand work...

Yen wu Ping has such a perfect ability to use Kungfu to define a charactor's nature...

seeing this makes one realise how limiting it must have been to work with American actors.... even with 6-months of HARDCORE training...

Curious to see Donny Yen take on Snipes in BLADE 2
