Only the image won't load.

But I assume this has something to do with the Scooby Doo film.

Let's just go check....

Wha... that isn't... that's not Bu.. that's not thingy who is Buffy, right? No. No, God, please. And how big is Shaggy's face? I always said I wanted to see a film where one of the characters had an enormous head which no one mentions - the fools went and did it, this is it!

Since when did Shaggy get so muscular? And Fred get so gay? I alway hoped Shaun Ryder would play Shaggy, one day.

hey man, didn't you ever see the one where they broke into the museum?

Shaggy's the swingingest gymnast in school!

I thought it was Rhys Ifans slated to play Shaggy, which would have been infinitely preferable to that little dickweed.

I always thought Fred was gay. I agree about Shaggy, he's supposed to be a big coward, not a big ass-kicker. Ok, Daphne's about what I'd expect, so much fluff. But who's the actress playing the other chick who's name I suddenly can't remember? She's a hottie. Although I admit I have a thing for girls with glasses. Shouldn't she be about 300% dumpier?

I'd complain about my childhood being savaged by commercialism, except that I thought Scooby-Doo sucked when I was 6, so I don't seem to care.

I think we discussed this a year ago, but it could all be saved if Sean Connery were playing Old Man Withers.

Sheesh, didn't you guys see this photo about six months ago (sans Scooby)?

What really freaks me out is that Matthew Lillard (Shaggy) looks exactly like a friend of mine did when he was in art school. . .

Hanna-Barbera crap I could do without in general, with the possible exception of Top Cat.

The chick who plays Velma is Linda Cardellini, the Jennifer Connelly lookalike in Freak and Geeks.

My main concern is that this movie may make Scooby Doo more popular than before (on the off chance that it doesn't crash and burn at the box-office) and that as a result Cartoon Network will increase its airtime again. I think they were finally cutting back a little.

Er... I don't know if this will re-assure people, or piss them off: If I remember correctly, one of the cast members [shortly after the original Scooby-less cast photo was released] made a statement that the costumes seen here would not be the primary costumes or looks of the characters, but were used in a flashback scene. Which is good, considering that, as much as they do look like the cartoon for the most part, they look like shit. But it's also bad if we're going to see the the WB-ed Scooby Gang, here.

As far as seeing the actual character of Scooby [that just doesn't sound right...], I thouhgt I'd be disappointed. Really, I just want to pet him.

Later,
Jared
