Lilo and Stitch?

I just saw the preview for this particular film. It looks like it may be pretty good.
Now as evidenced before, Disney isn't exactly known for its original movie ideas. So I'm wondering which movie they're ripping off this time. Or is this movie actually some original piece that somebody at Disney thought up all by themselves?

It appears to be original from what I've seen.

Lilo is a cute little Hawaiian girl who loves animals and old time rock'n'roll. Stitch is an intergalactic thief and killer. After escaping from the intergalactic police, Stitch lands on Earth and disguises himself as a cute widdle doggie and is adopted by Lilo.

A giant killer rat thing?

The fact that the trailer I've seen uses AC/DC's "Back in Black" makes my skin itch too.

I think this movie looks hot. If any company can afford to experiment, it's Disney.

Too bad they couldn't use the scene where Stitch steals a 747 and flies it around downtown Honolulu....
