Jackie Chan Injured on Set
What the hell is with reporting this as news? Not just here but in the Toronto version of Metro.
There are two major points that these news agencies should consider.
Chan would do his own stunts in American films if only someone would insure him. In Hong Kong funded movies he would regularly break bones and put himself out of action for weeks. A few hours in the hospital for a facial injury would not even make the end credits.
This leads me to my second and more pertinent point. Fans of Jackie Chan know that at the end of every movie that he does they run the credits over the out-takes. It's an important part of Chan film culture. Why then do these folls decide to throw out spoilers. Long standing Jackie fans like myself want to wait until after the film to see what went wrong and the amount of damage that he took to entertain me.
Bunch of fucking chumps. |
