But then, he was up against midgets in that one.
Alas, the performance doesn't seem to have featured prosthetics. Bowie au natrel, using physicality rather than padding to become the character. Would've been interesting, but I'm sure it would've been a bigger hit had he done it in a Ziggy stylee. How you'd work guitar fellatio into a tale of deformity, though, is beyond me.
Would you believe, though, that Patrick White's Voss was turned into a musical once? Sweet merciful christ; I can't imagine that without cringing. |
