Th elevel of misposting of threads is beginning to climb in a slightly disconcerting fashion. So, how about a few simple rules to consider before posting?
If it's about philosophy, theory, politics, ethics or that abstract shit, it probably belongs in the head Shop. Putting it in the Head Shop will minimise the amount of static generated by people needing to share information about their. boy. friend, what they did last night, why they are single, utterly tangential anecdotes from their childhood and so on. If it is a topic which would be improved by such things, the HEad Shop may nto be the way forward, although it seems to matter less and less.
If it is about the immediate practice of politics, news stories, current events - the Switchboard.
If it is about books, comics, music or films, or indeed theatre, art or TV, there is an area especially for it.
Meetings in the Gathering, creative writing in the Creation, along with questions/comments about creative writing. Comments on the running of and mechanics of participation in Barbelith in Policy.
If none of the above, consider the Conversation.
