Shafted

...could well be the worst fucking gameshow ever. Robert Kilroy-Silk has the most inanimate top-half-of-head I've ever seen, and is about as entertaining as a tin of asparagus. It's fucking dire, dire stuff, a pisspoor ripoff of The Weakest Link, except they use the phrase "and now - who gets shafted?" a little more.

Anyone seen this thing? It's boot-through-the-TV awful. Either that, or I have to get out a lot more, as I'm investing waaaay too much.

Is it as bad as that one with Paul Ross where he doesn't get paid?? "...I'm happy to say...you're out!" Not as amazing as that antique hunting show...damn thats good.

It is pretty terrible isn't it - but there's something about Kilroys voice when your stoned thats very funny, shows crap though..

The last part of the show was stolen (borrowed) from the short lived Game show type thing hosted by Nasty Nick on Channel 4 (think it was only a trial as it was on very late and only for a week)...

But but but...

I can never understand why people watch these things in the full knowledge that they are going to be dreadful. Why? And in this case it is hosted by Robt Kilroy 'Silk', aka 'the orange man off the telly'.

Why even bother?

Simple: post-jog, I was collapsed on the couch. I had to drag myself from the room with my fucking fingertips to escape. Short form? It was on and I was trying to recover my breathing. Alas.

See, the thing about game shows, I think, is that they're all pretty bad. It's whether they're so bad they're good that makes the difference: Shafted clearly isn't. I'm just wondering how a man of so little charisma can make it on the TV, and how doling out a shitload of money, asking questions (with no sign of drama) and occasionally tossing around the word "shaft" can be construed as entertaining.

But then, at least it's not a top-ten show...

Not the one with that Lovejoy lookalike that used to be on daytime TV?

Missed Shafted. The wooden gesticulation of Kilro-Silk in the advert (clenched fist brought up when mentioning '...or to shaft') was too much. Did he do that all the way through?

Seem to recall something about the show losing a million viewers between the first week of broadcasting and the second.
Might tie in with some of the comments in this thread.

No comment myself, as I haven't seen it. Why? Oh, simple : it's a game show, it's on ITV, and it's got Kilroy-Silk hosting it. Three very strong reasons against for me...
